| REGAN RYZUK-Composer,
Musical Director-Co-founder of The Enchanted Players, Inc., Regan
Ryzuk has composed music for film, television, ballets, theatre and
concert works as well as for jazz and classical recordings. He composed
the musical scores for each of the seven Grimms tales that have been
presented in full production by The Enchanted Players Inc. As a pianist,
he has performed extensively throughout The United States and Europe.
Most recently, he has scored commercials for TV Land. Working again
with his collaborator, Mary Ryzuk, his latest work, Jack The Ripper,
is his most exciting project yet. |
| MARY RYZUK- The
Witch - Book, Lyrics, Director- Co-founder of The Enchanted
Players, Inc., Mary is a published author of non-fiction books: The
History of The Circle Repertory Theatre and her true crimes, Thou
Shalt not Kill, The Gainesville Ripper, and Shattered Innocence and
Shattered Dreams. She is also an oft-produced playwright. Her original
screenplay, Stuffed Dolls, is slated to go into production in the
spring. Her musical, The Fifth Wife, has been produced four times,
the latest in Newport Richey, Florida. Having written the books and
lyrics for all of The Enchanted Players, Inc.'s fairy tales with her
collaborator (and son) Regan, she has applied all of her true crime
acumen in the creation of their latest musical, Jack The Ripper, the
Victorian era's infamous killer. Mary and Regan's musicals have been
performed at: The Paper Mill Playhouse, in Milburn, The Bickford Theatre,
Morris Museum, Family Theatre Series at the County College of Morris,
1st Night, Morristown, 1998-9, The Westbeth Theatre in New York City
and numerous schools in Northern New Jersey. |
| Beth Bernstein (Children's
Chorus) Hansel & Gretel is Beth's 6th production with EPI. Memorable
roles include Gretel in The Sound of Music and Little Mouse in Snow
White & Rose Red. She has done several commercials, voiceovers
and print ads. Beth wants to send her love to Mary Ryzuk for opening
the door for her on this enchanted journey. |
| Sara Cerasiello (Children's
Chorus) Sara is currently taking piano and vocal lessons with Donna
Pedulla. In her first recital she sang a song recorded by the group
S Club Seven and also performed her own composition on
piano called The Cat In The Window. She has participated
in school plays at School Street School in Boonton. She played the
part of Annie in last years play. |
| Dustin Ciano (Children's
Chorus) Even at the young age of seven, Dustin is no stranger to theatre.
He has performed in many community theater productions throughout
New Jersey, including The Pied Piper, with the Enchanted Players,
The King and I with Playful Theatre Production, The Music Man and
Best Christmas Pageant Ever with the Washington Crossing Reparatory
Company, and Children of Eden with Pennington Players. Dustin is in
the 1st grade at Amsterdam School in Hillsborough. |
| Heather Ciano (Children's
Chorus) Heather is happy to be back on stage with The Enchanted Players.
Heather has performed in many community theater productions throughout
New Jersey, including The Pied Piper, with EPI, The King and I and
Peter Pan, with Playful Theatre, The Music Man with The Washington
Crossing Reparatory Company and Flappers with The Villagers Theater.
She will also be heard this winter in a radio drama entitled Joyeux
Holiday, produced by Hunterdon Radio Theatre. Heather is in the 7th
grade at Hillsborough Middle School, and enjoys music, nature, dance
and piano. |
| Robbie Ciano (Hansel)
Robbie is very happy to be back on stage with EPI and is having a
great time as Hansel. His last role with EPI was as the Mayor of Hamlin
in The Pied Piper This past summer Robbie performed in The Music Man
with Washington Crossing Reparatory Company and flapper
with The Villagers Theatre. Other credits include the Crowned Prince
Chululongkorn in The King and I and Twin 1 in Peter Pan with Playful
Theatre Productions and entitled Joyeux Holiday, produced by Hunterdon
Radio Theatre. Robbie is a Freshman at Hillsborough High School. Good

| Emily Corrao (Children's
Chorus) Emily has been a part of EPI for three years. She first appeared
as a munchkin in the Wonderful World of Oz in the fall of 2000. She
also appeared in Heidi as Barli in the fall of 2001. Both plays were
performed here at The Darress Theatre. She also appeared in Allegro
Production's version of Babes in Toyland. Emily is excited to be performing
again in The Darress Theatre. |
| Chris Froehlich (Children's
Chorus) Chris has recently appeared in Inherit the Wind as Timmy,
The Life and Times of Santa Claus, and various original reparatory
company productions Superheroes, Dreamcatchers, I Can't Bear It, and
The Good , The Bad and The Evil by Youth Theatre of New Jersey. |
| Martin Hacker-Mullen (Children's
Chorus) Martin loves the theatre. He made his debut with EPI when
he was 3 years old and would like to thank Mary, Regan and everyone
at EPI for this great opportunity and their patience. |
| Xa Xa Hacker-Mullen (Children's
Chorus) Xa Xa has been active with the theatre since she was 5. She
made her debut with EPI in The Wizard of Oz and has participated in
numerous productions since then. She thanks everyone at EPI for this
great experience, especially Mary and Regan Ryzuk for their wonderful
adaptations and beautiful music. |
| Alyssa Koreen (The Cat)
Alyssa is excited to be back on stage at The Darress Theatre. This
is her third performance with The Enchanted Players. She is thrilled
to be onstage with her good friend Justine Magnusson, and is honored
to be performing with Mary Ryzuk. Break a leg everyone! I know that
everyone's performance will be just purrr-fect. |
| Justine Magnusson (Gretel)
Justine is 11 years old and in the 6th grade at Sacred Heart School
in Rockaway. She was last seen on the EPI stage as Brigitta in The
Sound of Music and as Heidi in Heidi. She played Dorothy
in her school's production of The Wizard of Oz and Rosie in Bye Bye
Birdie. She has appeared in the Ryzuk / Moran productions of Holiday
Magic, Santa and The Naughty Gnome at The Wayne Hills Mall for the
past two seasons. She has recorded a children's album with Ashley
Petit, star of Weezie and Annie in National Tour of Annie. She has
auditioned for The Brendan Byrne Area and would love the honor of
singing the national anthem for their sporting events. In her spare
time, Jusine studies voice with Corson Studios, flute with Partesi
Music and dance with Broadway Beginnings. She is a cheerleader for
Rockaway Township and coaches CYO cheerleaders for Sacred Heart. She
is honored to be working with Regan and Mary Ryzuk and wishes this
cast the best of luck! |
| Dave McDonald (Father)
This is the second time Dave has played the role of the Father in
Hansel & Gretel. He is delighted to work with such a fine talented
cast, and is very pleased to be part of a show with Mary & Regan
Ryzuk. |
| Carol Middleton, (Stepmother)
Carol was born and educated in Mississippi with degrees in Mathematics
and Vocal Performance. Now retired, she concentrates on musical endeavors.
She taught AP Calculus in high school for 34 years, in Orange and
then in Montville. Her extensive credits include: Accompanist for
the Mississippi College Concert Choir; Musical director for many EPI
productions, most recently The Sound of Music, Musical director for
many school productions. e.g. the Jefferson Community Players production
of The Music Man. Her performing credits include, soprano soloist
at Christ Episcopal Church in E. Orange, and the Essex Chorale and
Orchestra, the role of Catherine Eddowes in the New York production
of Mary and Regan Ryzuk's Jack the Ripper at the Producer's Club,
many operatic roles and children's theater roles, including the Queen
in Sleeping Beauty. Carol is married to Steven, and enjoys traveling
to Florida to visit their two grandchildren and caring for her nearly
blind and deaf elderly dog. |
| Nicholas Munro (Children's
Chorus) Nicholas attends school in Pequannock. He has performed in
The Pied Piper at The Darress Theatre and Tikki Tikki Tembro at his
school. He has studied piano for several years with Denise Dixon.
Nicholas enjoys singing, playing soccer, and trading Yu-gi-oh cards. |
| Jackie Ross(Children's
Chorus) Jackie loves to sing and loves the theater. She has done several
solo's in school plays and performances from kindergarten on. She
has performed The Star Spangles Banner for the kindergarten through
eight grade awards ceremony at her school. This is Jackie's first
experience with a community theater production and she is thrilled. |
| Hanna Silverman(Children's
Chorus) Hanna is in the 6th grade at Sacred Heart School in Rockaway.
She helped back stage in the EPI production of The Sound of Music.
She had the part of The King's Retinue in EPI's production of Rumpelstitskin.
This is her first Community Theatre experience on stage with her good
friend Justine Magnusson, who plays Gretel-and she is real excited
about that. |
| Molly Silverman (Children's
Chorus) Molly is in the 6th grade at Sacred Heart School in Rockaway
and she loves to act! She has been in several school productions including
the role of The Wicked Witch in The Wizard of Oz. This summer she
was in the EPI production of Rumpelstitskin. She enjoys cheerleading,
basketball, Girl Scouts, creative writing and drawing. Molly's big
influence is Mary Ryzuk for her skill as a director and Justine Magnusson,
who is playing Gretel, for being such a good friend and getting her
involved in these productions. |
| Samantha Turret (Children's
Chorus) This is Samantha's second show with The Enchanted Players,
previously performing in the Ryzuk production of Rumplestitskin. She
has also performed in two shows this year at the Brundage Park Playhouse
in Randolph The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe, in February and
the Broadway Kids' Cabaret in October. She has bee elected to the
Randolph Select Choir for the past three years. Samantha attends Randolph
Middle School and is in the 6th grade. |
| Briana Wolf , (Children's
Chorus) This is Briana's second production with EPI. She had so much
fun performing in Rumpelstiltskin, she was eager to come back. Briana
is a sixth grader at Lazar Middle School in Montville. When she's
not busy singing and acting, she enjoys reading and playing soccer. |
