Tim Murphy
Tim is probably best remembered as front man for
'80s punk-metal sensation "Chemically Induced Psychosis" whose
"hit" song "Blunt Force Trauma" climbed to number 579 on
Billboard's "Obscure, Not-Quite-Adult-Alternative-Grunge-Metal"
Chart. Following the band's demise, Murph created a string of
performance pieces. Welfare reform and curtailment of
government funding for the arts caused him to rethink his "artistic
direction". Murph's participation in Community Theater represents
that new direction, what he terms: "alternative conformity".
